oh, like me!!
As we were pulling into the mall today for some lunch and play time, Daniel noticed the lady ringing the bell at the door (for Salvation Army.) "Mommy, do those people ring bells for money?"
Timidly, I respond "Well, yes; but for people who are less fortunate." (Wait- that's not going to make sense to him.) "It's for people who don't have a lot of money."
Very seriously, he replies "Oh, like me!" :-)
OY! I don't think he gets it! :) I tried explaining that although he only has $1 right now for his allowance, he is very blessed b/c Mommy and Daddy buy him food, clothes, toys, etc... Hard concept for a four year old. But as I thought about it a little more, it's a hard concept for us {big people :)} too! We have no idea how blessed we are!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

for the love of mommy!
I had to add another post in here today. Daniel and I went to cousin Victoria's Christmas play this evening- just Mommy and D. On the way home, Daniel started talking about his future wife to which he says "You will be my wife, Mommy!" (In a very serious way, mind you!) To which I replied "okay!" I love him so much!
MILESTONE!!

Realizing today how VERY thankful I am for my husband and children! God has blessed me with a husband who puts my needs above his own, and 2 beautiful children whom I love with everything in me! There are days when my nerves are pushed to their very limit, and then I realize- I wouldn't have my life any other way. Thank you, Lord for these two blessings that make my life worth living! God's grace and mercy abounds!
Christmas time is here, and it's such a wonderful, fun time! From putting up the tree, decorations, buying gifts for loved ones (and indulging myself a bit,) and all the in-betweens; but most of all remember the true meaning- Christ's birth! Praise God for sending His son to pay the ultimate price that we may have the ultimate gift-eternal life!

date night <---- so important!
Abe and I are very blessed to get date nights quite often..and everyone should have them! We tend to get wrapped up in being only parents, and forget we wouldn't even be parents if it wasn't for our spouse- the person we are to love above all others on earth!
Abe and I have some interesting date nights! :-) Abe got his second (and last) tattoo, which he's been wanting to do for a while. I love it! We then went to a asian buffet, and closed out the night with shopping....yay!!! :-)
Love my hubby!!

remembering
Thinking about my dad today. Sometimes life just passes by and I tend to {choose} to not think about things. But today I'm thinking about all the life experiences that I wish he was here sharing with us- Daniel growing up, Elijah's birth, etc.. It's hard and like frankly sucks sometimes, but God's grace is sufficient and I truly believe His power is made perfect in our weakness!
On a lighter note, I'm excited about Halloween this year. Daniel is gonna be Spider Man and Elijah is a chicken- so cute! Can't wait to get pictures of my sweet boys! :-)
