Today- September 24, 2010, would have been Dad's 52nd birthday! I bet Jesus gives the best birthday parties ever! :) I take true comfort in that. I try to keep my mind going a hundred miles a minute on days like this. Makes it easier. When I stop and just think, my emotions get the best of me.
"Happy birthday Dad! I miss you SO very much! Sometimes I literally ache that you're not here- watching D start sports; seeing E walk and jibber-jabber; etc... One day. One day. I also want to call you right now....freaking out... and say 'Abe and I are going to a Redskins/Colts game next month!!' You are a huge reason why I LOVE foot ball so much. I'm SO psyched! I love you!!"
So, in case you missed it, my hubby and I are headed to Maryland next month to watch the Colts trample the Skins! (Sorry Honey ;) ) It was a little surprise for Abe (and an awesome treat for me too!) Can't wait!
